I’ve been rethinking my garden setup lately and keep hearing that native plants are the way to go in Buellton. Right now, most of what I have needs a ton of watering and attention, and honestly, it’s getting harder to keep up. I’d love to swap some of it out for plants that are easier to care for and still look nice throughout the year. For anyone who’s done this, how do you decide which native plants work best for Buellton gardens?

I’ve noticed that native plants not only save time but also make the garden feel more natural and connected to the area. They attract local birds and pollinators too, which is a bonus. A neighbor of mine replaced their entire front yard with drought-tolerant native species, and it still looks vibrant even in the middle of summer. It shows that you don’t have to sacrifice beauty for lower upkeep.
