Noosa STL Local Law

Noosa Councils' local law for 'Short Term Letting (STL) and Home Hosted Accommodation came into effect in February 2022.

​

Council aims to reduce problems experienced by locals, including noise, light spill, poor guest behaviour, parking, waste, dogs barking and privacy.

​

The law requires all STL property hosts to supply a contact available 24 hours located within 20km of the property to respond to complaints within 30 minutes.

 

A maximum of two contacts can be provided, which allows a daytime and after hours contact, or your can supply a single 24-hour contact.

​

Breaches of this new local law can lead to issuing compliance notices (fines) and loss of STL property registration, which occurred in the last year.
